Applicants wishing to adopt an animal are required to complete an adoption form as well as interview with an adoption counselor. Proof of home ownership or permission from a landlord is required.

Fees are as follows:

Dogs: $110

Cats: $45

Kittens: $55

The adoption fee covers the following

• First free vet health check
• Spaying/neutering
• Microchip placement
• Initial vaccinations

All cats are tested for feline leukemia and all dogs are tested for heartworm before being released from the shelter. There are no refunds for healthy animals. If, however, an animal becomes ill within three days of adoption, it may be returned to the shelter for a full refund. Stand Up for Animals requires that, if for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal is to be returned to our organization only.
